Young Harv...

In with all those old photos from Lloyd the other week were a few old slides, nothing of much interest exept this old snap of a young Benjamin Sutcliff. And for extra bonus points shot at his local spot of eves corner Danbury..

Croydon In Colchester

Paul and Gorm battled through M25 closures to get up to Colchester on Saturday for a skate with Russ, Vern and Dave. We all got to skate some of Colchester's best natural spots and some of the finest Dave Dixon mad scientist inventions on a pleasant Autumn's day. A bunch of photos and footage got recorded and a fair bit a shralping and pisstaking went on...not to mention orange Sainsbury's carrier bags getting recycled and a Time Team style archaeological dig...

Bailey 18

A few years have passed since Sandy first mentioned "there's this little Aussie kid that skates the park who's rad" And today big Steve Bailey turns 18. Next time we see you Steve we expect a full grown beard, a taste for local ales, a strong dislike for children at skateparks and a tendency to go on about how skateboarding was better when you first started!

Happy Birthday Steve from everyone at MN HQ.

Lloyd Cowling Gallery...

Lloyd & Camera (1996)

Lloyd had his camera on him for most of the mid to late 90s and recorded on film some of the sessions and trips from that time. We are very stoked to have compiled a pile of his photos and added a gallery page for them, have a look!

There's no time for slippin' with the new video now reaching the final few months of filming and the cold slowly starting to creep in. Steve met up with Russ yesterday and got a couple of hot moves on film whilst the sun was out around his local manor of Sudbury...

P.S. Grip art by Sandy esq.

Dave Later'd

(2.93MB quicktime)

After Dave's surf shorts bgp's caused such a stir when we posted that old Lately footage of Russ, we thought we'd show the trick he filmed in them that day way back in '04. Whilst we were looking through the vaults we found some other clips of Mr Dixon that have never seen the light of day either, and yes Dave the topless nollie big spin is in there too!

Mongo's list...

A full crew met up in Ipswich on Sunday to check off a spot list Mondon has been making over the past few weeks. Lets just say half of Mongo's spots where skate spots pre the industrial revolution, however there were a few hidden gems and a good time was had. Good crew = Good times! Oh and Russ and Dave still owe Melvis a snickers and a mars respectively...

Southsea update..

As we mentioned a while back Gary and the Southsea locals have had a huge battle on their hands with their local council to keep their legendary skatepark open. well it seems everyones hard work is paying off and at least for now the park is staying open, which is great news!

Here's a little promo that's been made highlighting the problems everyone has had to deal with and to show how popular and loved the park still is. We especially like the way Gary just can't look at the camera or stop playing with that pen whilst being interviewed! Keep up the good work fella's...
