Croydon In Colchester

Paul and Gorm battled through M25 closures to get up to Colchester on Saturday for a skate with Russ, Vern and Dave. We all got to skate some of Colchester's best natural spots and some of the finest Dave Dixon mad scientist inventions on a pleasant Autumn's day. A bunch of photos and footage got recorded and a fair bit a shralping and pisstaking went on...not to mention orange Sainsbury's carrier bags getting recycled and a Time Team style archaeological dig...

Wet Dry Wet Dry...

Yesterday was a weird one, one minute it was raining, the next it was drying out. and repeat. again and again. the day started with gonz taking some photos of dave's new mural in the student union at colchester institute. then a meet up with russ to go skate and take some skate snaps. at the skatepark though it was blowing a gale and after a drive to a spot the heavens opened. daffodils say spring, the weather does not. didn't stop dave getting some waterlogged tricks down and some footage and snaps. the skate photos are under wraps for the moment but here are a few others...

Crack in the Clouds (for those who know)...

We managed to get a quick skate in on Sunday, it was a good crew but not alot went down due to a late start and a ropey spot from Russ. The saving grace was left to the end of the day though, with Sandy taking the man of the match honors. Well played S-J!

Unexpected Sunshine...

On Sunday the weather kinda surprised everyone and how could you not go out skateboarding with a weather invite of clear blue skies and dry pavement? So Russ, Sandy, Gonz and Dave headed out and hit up some new and old skatespots around Colchester. The first spot needs to be christened 'Bird Shit Walls'. Gonz got a bunch on his new griptape to Russ' amusement...until russ saw the birdsnest on his board! After zigzagging all over town and cake for afternoon tea the day ended with an evening skate at Royal London, you can't ask for more than that in the middle of Winter...
