St Albans comp 1996
March 29th, 2011
Anyone who skated during the 90′s will tell you the yearly St Albans competitions were always the most fun with the best atmosphere.
Phil Clutton has kindly uploaded this video of the 1996 competition to youtube. It’s brought back lots of memories from that day and more importantly reminded us how ridiculously good Jon Haywood is and was even back then. Cheers Phil!

Bingo Forever
February 11th, 2011

Still finding it hard to come to terms with the news that good friend of The Monster Network and long time kingpin of the British skate scene Steve ‘Bingo’ Binks sadly passed away on Wednesday.
Both myself and Paul would like to send our love and thoughts to his family and friends.
R.I.P Bing. You’ll never be forgotten.

A quick update if anyone missed it but Kev and Alex had a baby son the other week, named Lucas. Super stoked for the Peacock family.
To celebrate I dug out an old line from Radlands back in 1995.

Matt Kickflips Over 40
November 28th, 2010
Matt was always the first to hit the big ages, 21, 30, etc out of the OG Monster Network crew, now Matt tackles the big 40 today! Matt is a true original and one of the rare Chelmsford skaters who went from the 80s slashing curbs on top of Gemini Banks through to kickflipping bins in the 90s. Always killing it. After a savage injury Matt now flies down trails on a mountain bike but still is a skater at heart.
Happy Birthday Matt!

Some bits from Wellington

“Hey Russ, your London edit inspired me to put together a few clips that have been lurking on my hard drive for ages. It’s me and Chris – my fellow Englishman abroad in New Zealand – filmed on various Sunday afternoons last summer. Dan.”
