Steve Bailey left these shores six months ago for a life in sunny Australia. We sent him some questions to see what the owner of our favourite switch flips has been up to.
So Steve you’ve been in Australia now for six months what are you up to over there?
Hating life! naaa.. I’ve started the poor and social uni life. Up until uni i was just swimming and working on my car.
Have you been skating much? We miss your switch flips…..
Not as much as i would like to..
How’s the beard farming going?
Non existent.
Is there anything you miss about the UK?
The rain…? Just friends i think.
Do you remember anything you’ve filmed with us for the new video?
Dave watson has the latest Switch advert that can be seen in various places around the internet. As most of you know Dave will be having a full part in our next upcoming film. More info on that very soon.
Long time friend of the family Gary Still has just uploaded these edits of old footage staring Jon Hayward, Simon Skipp and Nigel Davies. Look out for these guys in our next video. Oh and Off Cut Fridays will return next week; we just thought these edits where way too good to not show everyone!
SLAP have a great little feature on Ben Raemers up on their website including a sick edit filmed at the Ripon skatepark in California (the place Cardiel destroys in Sight Unseen):
Homies of MN, Southend’s Switch Skateshop has hooked up Essex’s own Ben Raemers on their shop team. Ben has been killing it recently and has also been out filming with Russ for the new MN video so expect to see some sick footage soon. For now, check this rad Switch edit filmed at fellow MN homie John Heywood’s mini, the Essex skate brotherhood all up in here right now!
OG Monster Network homies Chaz (Chelmsford legend) and Bob Gibson (one time part owner of the best 80s jump ramp in Bicknacre) originally formed The London Police about 10 years ago when they moved to Amsterdam, since then they have travelled around the world with their iconic and unique street art. StolenSpace Gallery in east London will be hosting their latest exhibition with an opening party on Thursday night (*nudge* free beer…) and the show will run until the 26th of April. Check here for more info and be sure to catch the show if you can.
Huge props to both Chaz and Bob for their 10th anniversary show!
