Loads of news about Chelmsford Skatepark. First up the guys at The Campaign For Chelmsford’s New Skatepark had a jam there the other day, check the blog for photos and links to more. The guys also organised a collection of litter from under the ramps too, good work. The council have now fenced up the park and are commencing the much needed repairs to the existing ramps, all in time for summer.

Metal ramps are not my cup of tea but the real problem is that in between the ramps is tarmac, whereas concrete is far more forgiving for skaters like myself. Councils need to get local opinion on these matters instead of just ploughing ahead & building something that not everyone can use!
